Verde Restaurant Bar

Verde Restaurant can be found in Sydney's thriving Little Italy, in a Victorian heritage building on the corner of Riley and Stanley Street. High arches and warm wooden joists, combined with walls where old Calabrian family photos hang, creates an intimate ambience reminiscent of an older, classier time. A traditional menu supports raw and fresh produce, in keeping with the Verde theme, which means green in Italian. Antipasti offerings are plenty, with the likes of zucchini flowers filled with ricotta and spinach a tasty option, perhaps followed by confit of duck leg with gnocchi and caramelised balsamic pear; while crumbled apple with cinnamon, caramelised almonds and vanilla gelato is a fitting end to a lavish evening. Verde also has a number of specialty function rooms upstairs.
