A warm, friendly atmosphere draws you into this modern, sensibly decorated room. The long menu can make choosing difficult, but good bruschetta with fresh diced roma tomato, garlic, basil and extra virgin oil is a promising start. Glorious tastes abound in a red wine braised, soft lamb shanks with rich tomato jus, button onions and spring vegetables served on mash. Just when it can’t get much better, there’s smoothly beautiful old English style caramel panna cotta served with a shot glass of warm Tia Maria chocolate ganache along side the Chef’s shortbread dipping biscuits.
