Slow down, it’s Oshan time at this unpretentious fine diner where connection and conversation abound in a stunning setting of distressed timber tables, a tiled bar and statement pendent lighting. Expect artisan sushi created from seasonal and sustainable ingredients, such as a sashimi platter of salmon, tuna, roe and fresh raw vegetables, or a sunomono salad with roasted sesame, scallop and orange sauce. Each omakase course is meaningful and a carefully curated sake selection offers the ideal accompaniment to every mouthful of your meal, along with cocktails and an impressive collection of organic and biodynamic wines.

Outstanding and unique sushi dining experience. The food created by Chef Peterson was creative and enjoyed by clients and friends in the number of times that we have dined. In a time of tables being turned over it was a pleasure to enjoy lunch and dinners in a relaxed ambient restaurant with each course savoured and well spaced. Bravo Oshan team.

The attention to detail in this menu - and the wine pairing as well - truly elevated this dining experience to the next level. The attention we received from Vanessa was exceptional. Will most definitely return as I still remember the kingfish sashimi and the mushroom joes with delight - my favourites. One of the liveliest chardonnays I have ever rated too! Thank you for an amazing night.

Oshan Contemporary Sushi is without a doubt, the best Sushi restaurant in Melbourne! I love it that we are never rushed through with a short sitting and the beautiful, welcoming hospitality provided by all of the staff is next level. What makes this restaurant so very special is the Brazillian flavours and sauces that fuse perfectly with Chef's superior Sushi (which just melts in your mouth). It's the kind of experience that you think about for days / weeks on end until you can visit again. If you are looking for a an exceptional food experience, look no further than Oshan.
