A celebration of Middle Eastern cuisine, Lillah on Longueville Road brings a touch of individuality to Lane Cove. With a name meaning ‘beautiful night’ in Arabic, every table and piece of crockery has been handcrafted, while archways, a feature skylight and exposed brick walls create a space resembling a Middle Eastern courtyard. A façade of white and black geometric tiles gives way to an interior vibe of blond wood table settings and ivy-covered wall features, enticing diners to linger over meals with a cocktail in hand; perhaps starting with smoked za’atar lamb tacos, yoghurt and salsa. For the main affair, try a signature smoked eggplant hummus bowl, sunflower seeds, parsley, fermented slaw and chickpea; or char-grilled chicken, Mejadra rice, smoked toum and pickled heirloom carrot.
