Beef Empanadas were simply delicioso!
Hidden in the back streets of Mascot – literally – is the unassuming gem of Latin food lovers, the appropriately called “La Cantina”. Bien venidos, Amigos! Positioned on the corner of a local hotel, with limited outside seating, La Cantina serves an exquisite breakfast. We enjoyed waffles with – not so Spanish – Nutella – delicious coffee and the highlight of the café: Empanadas filled with beef, shallots, olives, eggs, raisins, capsicum, chilli with Argentinian chimichurri. The super friendly staff made this early morning breakfast a real treat. This is a place to come back to. Next time, it will be for lunch.
