Just thought i'd write an updated review. So the decking mentioned in my previous review has been completed and the dining area is fantastic, the extension really is top knotch. Even though we arrived at 8.15ish and there were christmas parties a-plenty we were still served in decent time and the quality as always was superb. can't wait to go back and we'll be sure to ask to be seated down in the new area to take in the sunset on a balmy night.
This Gem, located on the idillic Mornington Esplanade was, at the time of review, undergoing an expansive deck construction which, once completed will create the perfect ampitheatre to soak up the sunset over the bay. Kirks has fantastic service and reasonably priced meals, in the past i've had wonderul wood-fired pizza's though on this occasion it was a pot-'n'-a-parma. The Chicken Parma was well cooked and well proportioned to the point where I'd love to see the chicken that it came from (i'm guessing a 3ft tall monster devouring all in it's path). The lettuce in the salad was one of the more generic salad pub-mixes. All in all it was the view and wonderful sunset when mixed with the fantastic parma that made it a wonderful meal and i'll be looking forward to returning once the deck is finished
