About King Henry's Restaurant

Set on five acres with a large deck overlooking beautiful gardens, King Henry’s Restaurant in Sassafras is one of the most popular dining destinations in the Yarra Valley. Nestled in an old guesthouse dating back to 1902, this traditional English restaurant on Mount Dandenong Tourist Road is all elegance with dark wood furniture, a moody colour palette and Britannia memorabilia scattered throughout. In colder months, cosy up by the gaslit fire with a glass of red and a retro prawn cocktail, with Rosemarie sauce, avocado, cucumber and fresh lemon; before confit duck leg, chat potatoes, braised red cabbage and berry jus. Perhaps King salmon Wellington hits the mark, with cheese, herbs and spinach in light puff pastry, on a rocket, fennel and orange salad with dill beurre blanc.
