The Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club, having just celebrated 75 years from inception, is accredited to be the premier club in South Australia. This new facility ticks all the boxes. First you notice the Trophy Box is full of Surf Life Saving Awards. On the wall there is an Award of Excellence 2010. "Club of the Year" From our table we had an uninterrupted view of the beach with the sun setting, on the sea horizon. An excellent bar service, along with very popular restaurant menu, from breakfast through to, A La Carte Bistro Menu. We had a seafood platter, which was excellently prepared and presented. Finishing with the popular fish and chips, they were also delicious, their tartar sauce is worth a special mention.The establishment was packed with young people enjoying their food and entertainment, after a day at the beach. Also family friendly with a good children's menu. All very well priced. The breakfast menu and daily specials look attractive. We finished with coffee and left with an understanding why this place is so popular.
