We decided on Byng Street Local Store after a recommendation from friends who had been and had loved it! We arrived for delicious canapés which were served with our own wine (it's BYO which is great!), the lights were dimmed and the 20 of us gathered in the front of the shop and enjoyed a catch up. The very friendly maitre'd Nimrod ushered us into the private dining room for dinner where we sat in awe of "Steve the Stag", who sits majestically at the head of the wonderful custom built table. Oh and the comfortable wing backed chairs make it hard to leave at the end of the night! The novel and clever idea of not having a menu worked really well and removed any anxiety about what to order (they did ask for dietary requirements on confirmation). Needless to say, the food was amazing (and showcases local produce perfectly) and everyone had a fantastic time. We will definitely be back. Well done to the Byng Street team......
