A few words from Bottega B Ristorante

Residing on a corner block tucked along Railway Street is Bottega B restaurant. An unassuming exterior greets guests kerb side, with exposed bricks painted white, red and blue signage adorning the windows and cheerful, bright red stairs leading diners inside to an interior filled with aromas of freshly cooked pizza. Meet your loved ones for a meal shared as you take a seat in a cosy dining room, at one of the intimate table settings and peruse a menu filled with Italian inspired housemade pizza and pasta dishes. Sample fresh seafood like grilled fish fillets, chips and lemon wedges, or perhaps opt for a square cut pizza topped with spicy chorizo, Napolitana sauce, Kalamata olives, Spanish onion and mozzarella. Finish sweetly with profiteroles smothered in chocolate ganache.

Bottega B is a small ristorante in the little village of Bundanoon in the NSW Southern Highlands. Focussed on fresh and local produce, authentic regional dishes of Italy and hand-crafted with patience and love this restaurant delivers good food year round.

The name Bottega B has some history and meaning for the owners and the town, The B references Bundanoon the township and the previous incarnation of the restaurant as Bundanoon Pizza and Pasta, providing a link to the physical location and past identity. Its organic nature represents the desire to use organic, locally grown produce wherever possible.

Bottega is translated from the Italian as ‘the workshop of a major artist'. It is a word that holds many meanings for this restaurant.
A chef is a creative and food is the medium, truly an artist whose kitchen is their workshop.
The word specifically recognises the current and past life of Antonio – a skilled photographer with four notable studios and now a chef and restauranteur – all workshops in their own right.

And Bundanoon deserves a Bottega – with a potter's studio as a close neighbour, a community filled with artisans, a local theatre company exploring local works in a theatre workshop environment and, more broadly, the Highlands Art Trail, Bottega is the perfect word to reflect Bundanoon.

Linguine Vongole: sweet New Zealand clams in a garlic and chilli white wine sauce, tossed through fresh linguine with parsley. Fritelle di baccalà: salted cod croquettes, gluten-free deliciousness served with housemade aioli.

Bellisimmo!!!
V high quality food cooked to perfection; attentive staff. Last weekend's 'Feast of the Fishes' Christmas in July was a triumph - well worth the trip down from Sydney!
