About Ates Blackheath
Sensory experiences, shared plates and fun wines await discerning foodies at Ates Blackheath on Govetts Leap Road. This Mediterranean dining destination in the beautiful Blue Mountains produces stunning dishes from a 150-year-old ironbark-fuelled oven, championing local and sustainably farmed produce, locally brewed craft beer and wine. Settle into a rustic vibe of recycled timber, spice-coloured walls and trailing greenery, or head to the covered courtyard where well-worn brick and communal tables set the scene for inspired dining. Clarence Valley octopus, almond tarator and esplette pepper make for the ideal starter, paired with a glass of Nashdale Lane Riesling; followed by wood-roasted duck, grilled mango, white balsamic and sides of cumin roasted pumpkin and baby gem hearts.

Fabulous
Amazed by the variety and quality of the dishes. As a vegetarian I usually find a couple of dishes on the menu that work but here there were many options and they were delicious.
Inspired and beautifully crafted food in a memorable space. Ticks all the boxes.
