A hidden gem in a beautifully restored 1895 National Trust home and garden, Anabel’s Thai Fusion offers some of the best Thai food and St Helens oysters in Tasmania. Just an hour from Launceston — or en route to Bridport or Derby — it’s perfect for lunch or dinner.
Owned by the lovely Bibi, the food is fresh, beautifully presented, and rivals top Melbourne and Sydney restaurants. The wine list is always evolving, there's a full bar, and cocktail specials every Wednesday night.
We’ve dined here multiple times and recently hosted a group lunch — everyone was impressed. Even if you're not a big Thai fan, the Oysters Kilpatrick are a must-try, and the menu has something for everyone.

Delicious food for a great price
The food and the stuff were wonderful. Can’t wait to go back again and try some different foods I have been before and will definitely be going back again and again.
