1806 in my opinion as a serial globetrotter is the best Cocktail Bar in Melbourne

What a hidden gem!
This bar is amazing! The decor and the friendly staff make for an awesome night out! I came from interstate with some mates and we stumbled across this place by accident..... So glad we did! We stayed for hours and tried some of the best cocktails I've ever had. Loved the Hotstepper ??. We also had a couple sharing plates which were beautiful too. Next time I'm in Melbourne I'll definitely be visiting again!

Stylish, relaxed with Character
Amazing attentative staff who really know their stuff when it comes to cocktails. Setting is relaxed yet steeped in history, from the bluestone walls and old theatre stage curtain adorned with puppets behind the bar, furniture and menu design to even the name, 1806, screams character. Music's not too loud, so you can absorb yourself in conversation. Food is delicious with quality ingredients. And the drinks well priced, with a good selection to satisfy all tastes. Highly recommend!

Classy experience
I have been a fan of 1806 for years. Can't go wrong with almost anything on the menu because the cocktails selection is phenomenal, and the service is top notch. Every detail has been carefully curated. If you don’t have any of the books - Id recommend picking them up.Def one of the best bars in Melbourne

Delectable Spectacle
This establishment gives of a high class surrounding with a homely vibe. All the charm of a speak easy with the notoriety of a penthouse suite. The cocktails mean business, they have one for any palate and any style. If a local or just passing through Melbourne. I would put a pin in ‘1806’ and be prepared for some classy theatre style drinking. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and will go back. I came for the whisky and stayed for a bit late of musical chair drinking.

Definate a higher standard as before
Staff always friendly with a great sense of humour. Always a romantic spot on all levels and the bathroom with freshly washed hand towels and beautiful flowers made guests feel special!

Second to none as far as cocktail bars go! The Old Fashion in particular is spectacular.

I love love love this place! If you want delicious and a really unique range of cocktails in a boujie setting this is the place for you. The bar staff are really knowledgeable and friendly too. A true Melbourne establishment and an absolute must to tick off your Melbourne bucket list!
