Apple filling:
4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped (1.5 cm pieces)
2 Tbs water
1/4 cup caster sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 sachet Lipton Spiced Chai Latte
Crumble topping:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
125 g cold butter, cubed
1 sachet Lipton Spiced Chai Latte
In a saucepan, combine chopped apples, water, caster sugar and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes until the apples are just tender. Take off the heat and stir in the Lipton Spiced Chai Latte powder.
In a large bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar and the second Lipton Spiced Chai Latte powder sachet. Add the cold butter cubes. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the dry mix until it looks like coarse breadcrumbs.
Divide the warm apple mixture evenly among four individual oven-safe baking dishes. Top generously with the crumble mixture. Place dishes on a baking tray. Bake in a preheated 180 C (160 C fan-forced) oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the topping is golden and bubbly.
Let cool slightly before serving. Delicious on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
