PB and J, and Mary - Brian Bartels
This cocktail was created for Harry Dean Stanton, quiet king of the silver screen.
500 g sausage mince
5 puff pasty sheets
1 carrot, grated
1 onion, diced
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp minced garlic
Preheat oven to 210 degrees Celsius. Grease 2 oven trays with margarine.
Separate puff pastry sheets and coat both sides with flour.
Combine sausage mince, 1 egg, carrot, onion, oregano and garlic in a mixing bowl.
Cut pastry sheets in half. Make a wall of mince mixture approximately 1cm from the bottom of each sheet and fold the pastry over mince.
Press edge with a fork to keep mixture from spilling out when cooked. Beat remaining egg and brush over pastry.
Cook for 30 minutes until browned and mince is cooked through.
Cut each roll into small squares.
