Create the perfect occasion without having to lift a finger with Spare Chef Catering & Events, based in Coffs Harbour. This onsite catering company services social and corporate clients on the Mid North Coast of NSW, whether for business or pleasure – from elegant cocktails and canapes to a full dinner, wedding or backyard barbeque. Location is never an issue as the restaurant comes to you, with Mod Oz menus to suit any celebration and impress all guests. Think canapes like seared scallops with crispy prosciutto and picada dressing, through to spicy lamb filo parcels with pimento relish; while for the main affair delve into beef l’entrecote with café de Paris butter and salted kipflers. Finish with indulgent sweets such as a chocolate tasting plate, with toffee crumble and crème Catalan.

Had the most amazing meal from Spare Chef Catering last night. Texan BBQ pack, arancini and prawn twists, and all the trimmings.
Everything was beautiful, very fresh, very flavoursome and tender as. The ribs especially were awesome - the meat just fell off the bone.
Would recommend this to anyone. It just added so much brightness to our Covid19 night....

Spare chef provided a most excellent catering service. Everyone at the event commented on how delicious and well presented the food was and the chef's professionalism allowed me to enjoy my party and my guests without worrying about anything! Corey was fantastic leading up to the event, answering all my questions and giving me much needed advice. If I did it again I wouldn't change a thing! Absolutely outstanding catering service. !! From the very beginning of planning our daughter's wedding, Corey was obliging and reassuring. Nothing was too much trouble. The Food was amazing !! The Chef and team were fantastic! The wedding was at our home at Upper Orara and the first time they had been on location. Everything went so smooth and simple. But no doubt they all worked non-stop behind the scenes. Our sincere thanks to Corey and his team of professional staff who made the day a dream come true!

A perfect experience for my wedding day
Corey and his staff catered my wedding on May 4th, 2019. I recommend Spare Chef VERY highly.
Corey was fantastic, communicating with me in the long lead up to the event. Answering every question that I had with patience, care and consideration. I could tell that this was a company that cared as much about my big day as I did.
The food was incredible. We opted for grazing tables and canapes, and could not have been happier with the quality. The portions were great! You do not need to worry about having enough food with these guys :-)
The service of the wait and bar staff was impeccable. Friendly and professional, they did the rounds of all of our guests and never forgot the wedding parties (we kept forgetting to eat, haha). The groom and I worked in hospitality for more than 10 years and we noticed the cleanliness and organisation of each member of staff on this team. Not a glass was left sitting, rubbish was whisked away quickly, boxes of stock were stacked out of sight.
I can't recommend this company highly enough. Book them.
Office Catering done right!
Spare Chef Catering recently catered our office opening. They were very easy to deal with right from the begining. The Chef sent to us (Jay) was lovely & despite a few on-site challenges, just made it work. The food was beautifully presented & extremely tasty. looking forward to left-overs for lunch the following day - but no luck. There simply wasn't a morsel left & that's unusual.
Almost all of our guests were asking who I'd used to cater & I would have no hesitation in recommending Spare Chef Catering to anyone.

Exceded expectatons in every way
We used The Spare Chef for catering for my husband's milestone birthday buffet lunch recently.
The menu selections were interesting and innovative and sounded very inviting.
As we do not live in town the spare chef had to travel an hour each way to reach us, and use their mobile kitchen on site . Their pre-preparation seemed perfect, they were punctual in arriving, and everything worked like clockwork.
The canapes were delicious, and beautifully presented, and really wowed the guests from the outset and the buffet lunch certainly exceeded expectation in terms of quality and quantity. It was generous in the extreme. We could not have asked for more.
We highly recommend The Spare Chef.
