Situated within the Adelaide Hills, Belair National Park is the first declared national park in South Australia, enjoyed by around 250,000 visitors each year. A large bush park with picnic and barbecue areas, children's playground, sports facilities and a former Governor's summer residence which has been restored as a museum of Victoriana.

Belair National Park state heritage area
Established in 1891, the Belair National Park was South Australia's first national park and the second in Australia, after Royal National Park near Sydney (1879). It is also recognised as the world's 10th oldest national park.
Belair National Park signifies South Australia's commitment to preserving natural areas for both conservation and recreation. 'National Park', as it was originally known, was created on land originally set aside in the 1840s as the Government Farm and includes the first Governor's summer residence, built in 1859.
The Belair National Park state heritage area is an 835ha reserve and is located in the Adelaide Hills, 13km from the Adelaide city centre.
