Portia Valley Wines

Four generations of Riverland viticulture tradition sets Portia Valley Wines apart from other wine-makers in the Glenside region of South Australia. With company owned vineyards nestled at the top of the Monash Valley and in the fertile soils of Loveday, Portia Valley Wines was established by Chris and Teresa Grigoriou and named after Chris’s mother Portia. The almost 100-acre vineyard specialises in growing organic grapes and producing organic wine, in a Mediterranean-like climate with low humidity, fertile soil and mild Winter temperatures. From the Family Reserve collection comes a 2014 Shiraz, with a deep, velvety red colour in the glass and a nose full of barbeque-charcoal, plum and vanilla scents, resulting in a juicy and fruity finish in the mouth with blueberry and plum flavours.
