A trendy interior is warmed by the glow of exposed drop lights and features a wall-sized smiling portrait in matte colours, drawing in locals with the smell of aromatic dishes, steamed dumplings and hissing meat as it sizzles. A harmony of cultures sees bold flavours burst from the menu, paired with produce from local farmers and artisan producers. The vibrant vibe is matched by equally zesty small plates of salt and pepper southern calamari, smashed garlic cucumber and nuc cham; or chilli caramel pork belly, kimchi and roti paratha. Those with larger appetites may opt to sample grilled lamb neck, Sichuan braised eggplant, yoghurt, steamed jasmine rice and wok-fried Chinese broccoli.
