An absolutely amazing experience. My Girlfriend and I were met in the foyer and beckoned into the warmth. Despite being late due to geographical embarrassment we were asked if we'd like to head to the bar for pre dinner drinks or be seated for dinner straight away. We chose pre dinner drinks and were guided by a staff member to a small intimate lounge. We were given the menu, and a fireplace was lit for us, just us. After drinks we were guided to our table and attended to immediately. I don't want to give away any of the many little unexpected surprises that we enjoyed, I think they are best kept as surprises.
The food was the most amazing that I have ever eaten. Eye poppingly amazing. Bad manners as it may be, my Girlfriend and I shared every dish because neither of us had experienced such beautiful food before.
Just after we had finished our entree we were offered another table closer to the fireplace. It wasn't cold where we were, nor had we asked for a spot closer to the fireplace. I think it was just because we were a couple, and nearer the fireplace was a more romantic place to be. This served no purpose other than to make our experience more pleasurable.
Without going in to every single kindness and detail, our whole evening was made magical through the combined efforts of all of the staff. I couldn't fault the experience at all.
Great food, warm friendly and endearing staff and an amazing setting. We will definitely return, next time to experience the view during the daylight hours.

With its magnificent décor, ornate fireplace, stained glass windows and crystal chandeliers, Darleys sparkles with newly revived old world charm accentuated by a spectacular setting and breathtaking views over Lilianfels’ gardens and the Jamison Valley. The menu’s focus is slow cooked dishes, prepared using the best local and organic produce and complemented by an outstanding wine list. Dishes like poached Murray cod with mussel infused celeriac broth, parsley and pancetta crumb exhibit skill, care and as much refinement as the room in which they’re served.
Fennel and cumin spiced venison loin, pavé of Yukon gold potatoes and wild mushrooms with Madeira sauce, rosemary and honey vinaigrette
