The historic site of Sydney’s first European settlement, The Rocks boasts one of the best positions on the harbour. The Rocks Centre features a diverse range of excellent shopping outlets, together with the Sydney Visitors Centre, where you can get information and advice on what to do and see in Sydney.
There is a variety of places to dine or grab a quick bite to eat, mostly centred on the Rocks Square and Playfair Street. Most of these have external seating and tables with umbrellas, giving a pleasant, cosmopolitan feeling.
