Penguin Island is home to the largest colony of Fairy Penguins on Australia's West Coast, a short journey in the waters off Perth. A must see eco-tourism location, the scenic backdrop and surrounding aqua waters of Penguin Island provides the perfect natural location for these little penguins, where you can get up and close at one of the penguin feeding presentations or take to the seas and enjoy the dolphin watch tour. Boardwalks are provided to trek around the island while preserving the delicate surrounds, with the front and back beaches open for swimming. To reach Penguin Island, ferries depart the mainland from Shoalwater Bay.
