About Old Gippstown

Old Gippstown is Gippsland's Heritage Park. It involves large scale exhibits recreating the history of the Gippsland region. It includes a pioneer street and village and is set in three hectares of parkland, providing Playground, barbecue and picnic facilities. The park itself is like the Pioneer Settlement at Swan Hill, a number of heritage buildings you can walk in and view. With lots of attention to detail, the buildings include an 1880's log cabin, an 1863 building that was a Cobb and Co station amoung many things over the years, a two storey iron house built in 1850 and moved to Moe from Melbourne, the old Sunny Creek School built in 1890 and Tynong Hall, circa 1886.
