Hanging Rock

Possibly attracting you by its movie stardom and possibly by its stunning wildflowers and thriving animal life, Hanging Rock has been calling crowds since the early days of European settlement. Formed 6 million years ago, Hanging Rock is actually a small steep sided volcano, weathering causing unusual formations throughout the site, including the Black Hole of Calcutta and the Cathedral.
