More About Australian National Maritime Museum

Discover Australia's links to the sea through an ever-changing program of exhibitions, kid's activities and historic vessels. Spectacularly located on the Darling Harbour waterfront, the Australian National Maritime Museum is a treasure-trove of all things maritime.

Explore different aspects of Australia's maritime history; from stories of great adventure to navy battles and mutiny, of migrants venturing across the seas to ancient saltwater traditions, modern beach culture and aquatic sporting achievements.

Climb aboard the magnificent replica of Captain Cook's vessel of discovery HMB Endeavour, see the world's fastest boat Spirit of Australia and Kay Cottee's Blackmores First Lady in which she solo circumnavigated the globe. Explore a former Navy destroyer HMAS Vampire, Oberon class submarine HMAS Onslow and the 1874 tall ship James Craig.

During your visit you may also enjoy the museum's harbourside restaurant Yots that provides open-air dining right at the water's edge. With stunning views overlooking the museum's historic vessels, Darling Harbour and the Sydney skyline, a fabulous meal at Yots will complete your maritime experience.
