About Silver Spoon Estate
Set among the rolling hills on Heathcote-Rochester Road in Mount Camel, Silver Spoon Estate is a boutique winery and restaurant celebrating the essence of the Heathcote region. Family-owned and thoughtfully run, this serene estate produces dry-grown varietals including Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Tempranillo and Viognier, each expressing the character of the land. Guests can savour wine alongside seasonal fare, desserts or coffee while overlooking the ornamental wine garden and picturesque farmyard surrounds. Fully off-grid and proudly sustainable, Silver Spoon Estate offers an authentic Mount Camel experience rooted in flavour, landscape and heartfelt hospitality.
A few words from Silver Spoon Estate
Guests are invited to settle into the peaceful surrounds of the cellar door and enjoy award-winning wines with fresh seasonal dishes, grazing boards, desserts or coffee overlooking the ornamental wine garden and picturesque farmyard landscape.
A defining feature of Silver Spoon Estate is its complete commitment to sustainability. The entire property operates 100 per cent off-grid, with the cellar door, winery, kitchen and founders' residence powered entirely by solar energy. The estate also harvests rainwater from its roof infrastructure while embracing thoughtful environmental practices across both vineyard and kitchen operations.
Leading the kitchen is Head Chef Ben Hong, whose menu reflects a restrained and polished approach to modern dining. Working within a sustainable off-grid kitchen, Hong focuses on ingredient integrity, seasonality and refined technique. His carefully composed plates showcase delicate layers of flavour and texture while complementing the estate's wines. Thoughtful cooking methods and a strong respect for produce guide the kitchen's approach, where refinement and balance allow local ingredients to speak for themselves. The result is a dining experience that feels considered, quietly sophisticated and deeply connected to the landscape of Heathcote.
This commitment to sustainability has earned the estate significant recognition, including the 2021 Bendigo Business Excellence Award for Sustainability and Environment, a Bronze Trophy at the 2025 Victorian Tourism Awards in the Winery, Distillery and Brewery category, and accreditation as a Sustainable Tourism business.
For visitors seeking more than a standard cellar door stop, Silver Spoon Estate presents a genuine sense of place where sustainability, hospitality and regional flavour come together in one memorable destination.
