Panton Hill Winery

What a lovely afternoon we had...
Several weeks ago, I celebrated a big '0' birthday with a group of my dearest women friends. From our arrival at Panton Hill Winery, the wonderful atmosphere of the beautiful buildings and the impressive 'Great Hall' captivated everyone. Our wine tasting was hosted by Dorothy Kwak, who led a most entertaining and informative session. Her knowledge of the whole process of cultivation and processing, as well as her interesting anecdotes and humour, made this a very enjoyable experience. As well as enjoying the excellent wines on offer, excellent fetta cheese, warm olives and fresh bread accompanied our swirling and sipping. We moved outside for afternoon tea in the courtyard, where we were treated to a range of delicious homemade desserts. The ambience throughout our visit was relaxed, very welcoming and professional; Dorothy and Teunis have created a special venue at Panton Hill Winery, where you can find some lovely wines at reasonable prices. We will definitely be visiting again!
