About ZA ZA TA

Encounter the exotic at ZA ZA TA on Ann Street in Fortitude Valley – a place where worlds and cultures collide amongst a sprawling, colonial backdrop and buzzing open kitchen. This newly opened Brisbane bar and kitchen packs a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern punch from handmade uniforms to nostalgic Afro-beat melodies bouncing off the walls and eclectic artwork scattered throughout the various themed rooms. Experience a soulful blend of cuisine bringing a distinctly modern twist to centuries-old flavours, designed to be shared and savoured among friends, such as charcoal rainbow trout, cucumber and chilli salsa and chilli tahini. For something a bit larger, delve into lamb neck with Merguez stuffing, mint and baby turnip salad, washed down with a smoked persimmon Negroni cocktail.

Amazing, Spellbinding - A MUST VISIT
This wasn’t my first visit to Za Za Ta and I can assure you it won’t be my last
With friendly staff, modern decor and food you won’t find anywhere else, this funky upstart is shaking up the Brisbane food scene.

The Israeli/Mediterranean fusion is a stroke of true genius and caters vegetarians and non-vegetarians
The drinks list is broad and similarly unique.
The menu is well thought out and perfect for sharing for small and large groups alike. Set menu options are those who want to put the journey into the chef's hands.

On this visit, there were a couple of new dishes that elevate an already excellent menu to the next level.

I must confess that when I eat Dario Manca's food (and I have often) I hear music, the tastes, textures and depth of flavour are truly remarkable and downright heavenly.
