Nestled in the heart of Albury, Yardbird on Townsend Street creates a refined dining experience in a relaxed, yet sophisticated setting. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant flavours of Europe and the tradition of cooking over fire, the menu is based on the finest produce, great wine and bold flavours. An ideal blend of casual and high calibre dining, the kitchen is powered by a wood-fired oven from Spain with all dishes cooked to order; perhaps begin with seared scallops, morcilla, Jerusalem artichoke purée and Spring vegetables. For the main, think open flame grilled veal cutlet with porcini cream, sugar snaps, asparagus and mushrooms, or slow-cooked lamb with chermoula, grilled cucumber, chickpeas and minted yoghurt. For a sweet finish, try chocolate and hazelnut delice with sorbet.
