For a touch of contemporary city dining just moments from the Ovens River, take to Wangaratta's Watermarc Dining restaurant on Ryley Street. An interior ambience of trendy light fixtures, painted brick walls and timber ceiling beams give this popular restaurant a modern, yet rustic style. Soak up crisp country air on the verandah overlooking tall Eucalyptus trees or unwind in cosy surrounds while delving into small plates of Peking duck crêpe rolls, cucumber, chilli, bean shoots, coriander and hoisin aioli. Pasta lovers may be enticed by fettuccine, chorizo, olives, garlic, onion and chilli; while carnivores opt for master stock braised short rib, noodle salad, prawns and daikon. Divine desserts of smashed pavlova, lemon curd and fruits of the forest sorbet await those with room to spare.

Fabulous!
We came to Watermarc by chance when travelling last year, had an excellent evening meal and, so, we sort out Watermarc again this week when travelling through Wangaratta. It certainly did not disappoint!! Damien and his team deliver innovative, delectable dishes in a cosy environment supported by knowledgeable, amiable staff. Loved two of the many new offerings which featured Port Arlington mussels. We will continue to recommend to friends and visit when possible.
