World class food, wine, and service
We enjoyed world class food, wine, and service at Vasse Felix when we visited for the first time last week. We visited for the epicurean tour and the had the pleasure of a tour of the estate with Grace, who was full of information, enthusiasm and joy for her work. We were made to feel welcome by all of the staff and enjoyed the contrast between the relaxed atmosphere and the excellence of the meal and the matched wines. A faultless experience.
OMG! We ate here over the CHOGM weekend as we needed to escape Perth & what a treat it was. We had dined here previously & it has been good but this occasion was just that bit extra special. My husband who is a bit of a plain eater had the bresaola with marron for entree & just loved it, especially those baby beetroots. I tried the asparagus & was blown away! the textures of the puffed grains were amazing, the asparagus was fresh & crunchy & the duck yolk was like eating the most perfectly cooked egg ever! I'll go back just for that. For mains my husband had the Barramundi which he said was the best fish dish he had ever tried, he even went over to the kitchen to tell them! My main course was the pork loin which was excellent, it was served with salsify which i had never tried before & thoroughly enjoyed. As for Dessert we shared the caramel bombe which was to die for, i want to go back & do it all again! The wines were o.k, but the food is the real star of this restaurant!
Celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary at Vasse Felix in September, everything was perfect. The presentation of the food was amazing, great menu selection and great portion sizes, best of all the food was delicious. Service was outstanding.
Awesome food experience! We visited the region last week & we're blown away with this place. Allthough we had heard good reports we weren't expecting this sort of food in a regional setting. If you dine anywhere in Margaret River this is the place. The beef with smoked bone marrow & a smoking vine alongside (yes still smoking when it arrived at the able) is a masterstroke. I want to go back just for that. These guys know there stuff!!!
