About Two Dogs Laughing

Head beyond the rusted gates and giant knife and fork to find hidden Perth gem Two Dogs Laughing on Stack Street. Nestled in an old and rustic warehouse in the heart of the Fremantle Industrial Arts Quarter, this café and catering business welcomes you with flavourful delights and a hint of cheekiness. An eclectic vibe from potted greenery, musical instruments and kitsch furniture awaits as you sip a brew and linger over all-day breakfast plates like Mr Shroom – roasted mushrooms, miso butter onions, harissa chickpeas, herb salad, smoked yoghurt and Turkish pastry. Perhaps Sprats tempt with heirloom tomato, avocado and basil chimichurri, pickled onion, garden pickings, smoked sprats and burnt ciabatta; sweet tooths opt for fluffy pancakes, vanilla and lemon curd, meringue, cream and fruit.

Nothing quite says "welcome to Freo" like sitting in the cool, converted warehouse space of Two Dogs surrounded by retro furniture, art and plants. The modern Australian menu is absolutely delicious and so is their coffee. The owners, Libby and Sam, are warm and never let a long day or hot weather dampen their dry but friendly sense of humour. Added bonus: there usually are dogs here!
