Beyond expectations
Thank you for such an enjoyable evening. The food was exceptional - every course was a party in the mouth, Thank you James for your attention to detail from explanation of each course to going beyond in arranging specific drinks for one diner. We will be singing your praises. Also a big shout out to our Chef - the recipes you created were original presented with such detail and taste exceptional - thank you.
An experience to remember
Maffco is an awesome venue, such a beautiful renovation, local so we go all the time for a beer, a meal or a market!
But TUCKA last night was such a treat, hidden through a side door, a beautiful space, with attentive welcoming staff. They specialise in Gippsland fare, with a lean into regenerative beef which my partner loves, it was his birthday treat but I loved that they found sooo many alternatives for a vegetarian like me that meant I didn’t feel left out at all!
The mushroom with salt bush was outstanding, loved the croquettes and main was pumpkin smokyily yum with seasonal local vegetables.
Plus a corregraphed wine list to top it all off! Thanks James and team, you nailed it!
What an amazing night.
We enjoyed tucka at maffco with dear friends who were visiting. We had heard such wonderful things about it from a number of people recently and thought it would be the place for a special treat. My oh my was it indeed. We were all blown away by the food, a tasting menu of local produce. They even have a butcher shop and garden there. The service was so wonderful & lovely wine too. Our friends eat out in the city all the time and said this is the best food they have eaten in years. We will be back.
A hidden gem. Incredible!
We stumbled on Tucka@Maffco last night and could not believe the sensational experience we had. It began with the incredible James, who was by far one of the most attentive, knowledgeable and efficient waiters we have ever experience. We had the degustation menu made with the local produce and local wines to suit. The presentation was superb and the pricing was far better than anything in Melbourne. Thank you to all the staff for a sensational night. Yarra Valley could learn a great deal from you all. We wish you continued success and will definitely be back.
