About Toriciya Japanese Restaurant

Situated in Cammeray, Toriciya Japanese Restaurant brings the spirit of traditional yakitori to Sydney, having opened in 1991 as the city’s first authentic yakitori bar. Here, chicken skewers grilled over charcoal—seasoned with tare or simple salt—remain at the heart of the experience, perfectly suited to the flavours of sake and shochu. Alongside the signature skewers, the menu offers a wide range of Japanese favourites, from seasonal tuna sashimi and creamy potato salad to grilled eggplant, comforting nikomi beef stew, wontons and classic rice dishes. Warm, intimate and deeply authentic, Toriciya continues to honour the craft of true Japanese dining.
