About The Stables Restaurant & Bar

Surround yourself with saddles, equestrian sculptures and innovative cuisine at The Stables Restaurant & Bar on Victoria Street in Paddington. Housed in a 150-year-old sandstone building - which has been home to stables, a hay loft and blacksmith – this new venue is steeped in history from lofty ceilings to timber, leather and metal, setting an ideal ambiance to meander through Executive Chef Thomas Gripton's Modern Australian offerings. Ex-Bentley, Yellow and Hubert, Thomas' restrained approach is evident throughout a menu with a nod to Japanese ingredients as evident in plates like slow cooked pork jowl, garlic yoghurt, celery ribbons, crisped black rice and nori. Indulge the senses with a dessert of black tahini sponge, vanilla genoise sponge, orange infused brandy and malted ice cream.

Great food, Great service
Food and service was spot on, King prawns and the pork jowl were the standout dishes with great wine list focusing on locally produced wins. Great new addition to the Paddington food scene.
