On Bank Street in Avenel, The Rabbit Hole Inn at Harvest Home is a one-of-a-kind heritage destination steeped in character and charm. Housed in a beautifully restored building dating back to around 1870, the venue has evolved into a restaurant, boutique hotel, lush garden and events space with a rich sense of history. Led by chef-proprietor David Bellamy, the ever-changing menus showcase French and Italian–inspired modern fare crafted from local, homegrown and seasonal produce. Handmade dishes are paired with a bespoke drinks list featuring nearby wineries and distilleries. Oozing French countryside romance with a touch of old-world bohemia, it’s a place to linger, celebrate and indulge.

Amazing!
We fell upon this little beauty driving when doing a google search and it was quite a find! The food, service and drinks were amazing and the place itself is just beautiful. Definitely a place to stop and have dinner!!!
Absolutely beautiful
We stopped in for Sunday breakfast and sat under the trees in the stunning gardens. Incredible food and coffee, with fantastic staff and service.
Divine boutique setting and delicious food
I diner here on a Saturday for lunch with my family from Melbourne and we sat in the courtyard under the tree. The table was set beautifully, with a white tablecloth, and attention to detail. Our server was attentive and efficient and the pasta dishes we ordered were beautifully plated. I highly recommend The Rabbit Hole Inn at Harvest Home for the atmosphere, service and delicious and locally sourced food.

Stunning location
We love the heritage surroundings of this stunning location. The meals are to die for, every time we return there is a new menu item, each one better than the last. The steak is always perfectly cooked, with a selection of complimentary sauces or jus.
We have eaten in the gardens quite often, can’t wait to eat in front of the fire in winter.
Fit for a queen
Well worth the visit. Our lunch today was great, and so much passion from the owners, who came out and had a lovely chat with our table. Thank you for a memorable visit!
Sensational!
Everything on this menu is homemade, and made well. It was delicious, full of flavour, and the gardens are just stunning to sit and relax with a glass of wine! We will definitely return. We could taste every ounce of care and love that went into our meals.
