This is a great old pub in the best location in Bowen. I rank it highly in the category of a pub. Upmarket menu with lots of variation. So good we went twice! Their Pie was the clear winner. It's on my '4 P' diet,Pie,Pies, Potato & Pinot for dinner. Good value and nice staff.
Just as a follow up, the manager Bruce, was excellent. He refunded the cost of the meal and apologised. No excuses were made. So I'll come back sooner rather than later now.
Sorry fold but the meal we had was lousy. $22 for an Entree Share Plate and the pulled pork croquets tasted foul, and the calamari was over cooked. The meals have gone to the pack I'm afraid. It'll be a while before I come back and I live in the town.
