The Glass Den
About The Glass Den
Based next door to the historic bluestone Pentridge Prison, The Glass Den has captured the hearts of the Coburg cafe crowd. A spacious interior lends itself to an industrial theme using enlarged bare bulb lighting, steel beams and dark timber furnishings, with a covered outdoor courtyard perfect for Melbourne's unpredictable weather. With everything made in house (right down to the gluten free bread), The Glass Den's modern Australian menu puts a different twist on classic favourites. While the breakfast menu lends itself to the likes of almond meal hotcakes with grilled banana, jackfruit, lotus root compote, maple syrup, toasted coconut, taro chips and coconut mousse, the lunch menu offers delights such as cured salmon tacos with lemon caper mousse, olive crumble and pickled cabbage.
