Best Known For
Eggs Benny Beurre Noir: poached eggs, bacon, red pepper powder and beurre noir hollandaise.
Situated comfortably in the middle of a home renovators heaven in Marsden Park, is quality coffee focused café, The Barista’s Shed. With a modern, industrial style of textured tiles, grey brick bar, black marble bench tops and black steel trim, locals return time and again for a signature Black Drum Roasters coffee and temptations from an all-day menu. Award-winning Chef Chevy McGrath serves up fresh, colourful and contemporary twists to café classics, like avo on toast, with green peas, golden beets, wakame seaweed, chia lemon and red vein sorrel; while sweet tooths won’t go past mango and pineapple toast, fresh berries, lemon balm, coconut sorbet and macadamia soil. Those with more savoury tastes can delve into breaky bruschetta, with mushroom ragout, kale, poached egg and Persian feta.
A few words from The Baristas’ Shed
The Baristas' Shed is now also open for dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night with their ‘After Dark' concept. Something that is very close to the heart of Head Chef Chevy, is his twist on tapas and shared food. You can find the ever changing charcuterie board, with Waygu bresaola and fresh pickles, along with wild mushroom arancini and confit duck ragout. This menu is perfectly paired with a custom wine list, with a fantastic selection of some of the best wines around. Including the exclusive Bilgavia Estate Chardonnay, a lovely melon driven single vineyard wine; or the full bodied Pirathon Barossa Valley Shiraz, with smooth and lingering mouth feel.
