Attracting a cult following in Pascoe Vale, Shop 225 Pizzeria on Melville Road delivers a simple Italian ethos, along with vegan and gluten-free offerings. The first accredited gluten-free pizza restaurant in the country certified by Coealiac Australia, Shop 225 dishes up traditional housemade pasta and pizza in rustic surrounds of exposed brick and mosaic tiled tables, as tantalising aromas waft from the wood-fired oven. Say buon appetito to starters of Sicilian arancini and dipping sauce, or bruschetta topped with tomato, onion, oregano and basil; before perfect pasta plates like rigatoni, with Bolognese sauce, basil and grana Padano. Perhaps devour a slice of Barone pizza, with Pomodoro, fior di latte, salami, olives and chilli; finish with vanilla-infused panna cotta and strawberries.

It was late 2016 when Lorenzo Tron and Roberto Davoli opened their humble pizzeria, Shop225, in Pascoe Vale South.

The suburban pizzeria has already attracted a cult following of locals and people across town with its simple Italian ethos, vegan and gluten free offering.

In 2016 we started to increase our vegan range, developing in house a variety or products like notella, vegan mozzarella, vegan sausage end more

In 2018 we became the first accredited Gluten Free pizza shop in Australia certified by Coealiac Australia.

The restaurant's focus is traditional, simply Italian food. Home-made pasta and gnocchi, wood fired pizza made from 72-hour leavening dough.
