Sardinia in Noosa. Excellent!
Having been to northern Sardinia 4 times - and residents of Melbourne, we were unfamiliar with Sardo in Sorrento. Vic.
A quick visit to Noosa saw us give Sardo in Noosaville a try.
We were impressed with the authenticity of the Sardinian flavours and the generosity of the restauranter Danny ( and his brother).
Stand out - on the specials - the sardines! I need to find out how they were prepared. But they were uncooked. Filleted butterfly style. Marinated On a bed of rocket peppered with pomegranate seeds, orange segments and a balsamic glaze.
We sampled the seafood fregola and another pasta dish plump with whole tomatoes.
Danny was most attentive and we swapped stories about Sardinia.
We were lucky enough to have Lorenzo from Dan Murphys seated next to us and the night was complete.
Musts are the sardines - if on the menu and the frozen Espresso Martini ??.
