About Sani

Café by day and a moody dinner destination at night, new restaurant on the Brunswick East block Sani on Lygon Street is hitting the mark with locals. The second venue from the crew behind West Footscray’s Dumbo and located in the former Woodstock Pizza site, Sani takes its name from the Nepalese word for magnificent and the nickname of the owner’s son. A light, bright all-day space beckons for lunchtime catchups, while on Friday and Saturday nights take to an intimate dining room for a five or seven-course banquet menu, cocktails and wine. Taking all the best dishes created during the last two years, the Chefs have produced a menu on 'steroids' with the likes of Szechuan chilli congee – confit duck leg, wild fungi, green onion, soft egg, Chinese doughnut and ebi fumi furikake.
