An exceptional experience
Hats off to the team at Samesyn for providing the best possible experience.
The food was the real definition of perfection: creative, tasty, and all the possible details thought of.
We shared the octopus as a starter, grilled and interestingly coming with kipfler potatoes and smoked almonds.

And then came the masterpiece… the slow cooked lamb shoulder was an absolute winner - a tender, juicy explosion of flavours! As much as slow cooked lamb is now a classic in fine dining, the Samesyn creation is just bringing it to the next level.
We also tried the Great Ocean Duck, again one of the best we’ve tried, prepared and cooked to perfection.
We were full at that stage but, given the quality of what we just had, decided to explore the desserts.
And again this was fantastic with a particular mention for the strawberry, yaourt mousse and rhubarbe granite.
A fresh combination of different textures, ideal to finish off on a high.

Add to this an attentive, friendly and engaging service and here you are!
We will be back and definitively recommend Samesyn.

Delicious display of fresh local produce, but a little repetitive.
I’ve been to Samesyn twice, about 6 months apart. Most dishes were delicious, and featured stunning local produce. The food was simple, and certainly echoed the style of food at Tulip in Newtown. I do feel like the dishes felt safe, and some dishes left me feeling a little disappointed due to under-seasoning or missing garnishes, like the crispy fried chicken skin. I’d love to see what more the chef has to offer - especially when it comes to dessert, six months after our first visit the dessert menu was identical… The service was great, and the wines pairings were fantastic. Will be back, as I’m hopeful for what more the chef might have to offer.

We went with no explanations to Samesyn and we’re delighted with the dishes the freshness and obvious attention to detail. The duck was a great example of the chef’s skill in producing a delicious and perfectly cooked duck. This was a truly delicious menu and our wait staff were just delightful. Highly recommend for a great dining experience.
