Love the food!
Sam Po serves solid Malaysian food with standout dishes like the steamed Hainan chicken and Singaporean barramundi, both fresh and flavorful. The kangkung unfortunately came out last and took quite a while, which disrupted the flow of the meal. Overall, still a good experience with tasty mains worth returning for.

Sam Po offers a vibrant and authentic dining experience that stands out for both its flavors and atmosphere. The menu features a wide variety of traditional dishes, from rich and creamy curries to perfectly balanced noodle dishes, each prepared with fresh ingredients and aromatic spices. The nasi lemak is especially memorable, with fragrant rice, crispy anchovies, and a spicy sambal that adds just the right kick. Service is friendly and attentive, making guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Overall, it’s a great spot for anyone looking to explore bold and satisfying Malaysian cuisine.

Really nice place
Food was very very yummy. The hainanese chicken and nasi goreng and char hor fun were especially delicious. The chicken is super tender and very flavourful. The teh tarik drink is also very refreshing. Overall a very nice experience. We will definitely come back :)

Good Food Good Experience
Sam Po Malaysian Kitchen in Mascot delivers honest and satisfying Malaysian food. The nasi lemak is fragrant with a well balanced sambal, and the char kway teow has a nice smoky wok flavour. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the flavours stay true without being toned down. A reliable spot when you want something comforting and authentic.

Great food & clean
Had a great experience here — everything just clicked.

The Hainanese chicken was the standout. Super tender, juicy, and sliced perfectly, with that silky texture you want. The sauces on the side really elevate it, especially when you mix and match — simple dish done properly, and it shows.

Service was smooth and efficient, and the place itself feels clean and well-kept. There’s a nice casual vibe without feeling rushed, which makes it easy to just sit back and enjoy the meal.

Also nice touch with the review incentive — but honestly, the food holds up on its own.

Definitely coming back. This is one of those spots you can rely on when you’re craving something consistently good.

Great!
The haiwanese chicken was cooked very well- smooth, tender, juicy and full of flavour. It coupled well with the sauce consisting of soy sauce, chilli paste and shallots oil. The char kway teoh was fried with a lot of wok hei, topped with many ingredients and blended well with the light sweet soy sauce. The restaurant is very popular with many guests until late at night and atmosphere was very pleasant! I highly recommend to try this place- you won’t regret!

Amazing hainanese chicken
This Hainanese chicken is perfection—silky, tender meat with a delicate gelatinous skin. The rice is incredibly fragrant, rendered in chicken fat and aromatics. Paired with the sharp ginger-garlic paste and spicy chili sauce, every bite is pure comfort. A simple, soulful, and absolutely delicious meal that hits the spot every time.

Great ambiance and Malaysian food
We enjoyed the ambiance and tasty hainanese chicken. Place is kids friendly with high chair and kids cutleries available. No toilet on site but there is toilet nearby in the woolworth parking lot.

Nice and authentic Malaysian food
I recently visited Sam Po Malaysia Kitchen and had a really enjoyable experience. The food was authentic, comforting, and full of flavour — especially if you're craving proper Malaysian hawker-style dishes. The Hainanese chicken rice was tender and juicy, paired with fragrant rice and a nice trio of sauces.

So Good!
At Sam Po Malaysian Kitchen, the Hainanese Chicken is a standout dish, featuring tender, juicy chicken served with fragrant rice and a zesty dipping sauce that enhances its flavors beautifully. The XO King Prawns are equally impressive, boasting a rich, savory sauce infused with spices that perfectly complements the succulent prawns. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a delightful culinary experience. Highly recommended for both Malaysian cuisine enthusiasts and newcomers alike! #sampo #hainanesechicken

Exceeded expectations
Great Maylasian food in a casual unassuming eatery in Mascot. It was busy during our dinner but the service was fast and constant. The staff were friendly and prompt. I cannot rate the Yoke Bo any higher… so so good! I also really recommend the Hainian chicken. Will definitely be back on my next trip to Sydney.

Hainese chicken and BKT are must try. And the Singapore chilli live barramundi is also very tasty. Yummy.
