Set on the picturesque Macleay River and bordered by thriving palms, luscious green grass and neat hedges, is Riverside Tavern on New Entrance Road in South West Rocks. From a tiled alfresco dining space with charming, wooden outdoor furniture, guests are treated to captivating views of the flowing river through the trees, where sailboats can be seen drifting past. A Mod Oz menu boasts hearty choices to suit all tastes, along with some especially tempting options for the little ones; perhaps start with Cajun crumbed prawns, a side salad, seafood sauce and lemon, or sticky Korean-style chicken wings. Mains present choices like smoky BBQ bourbon pork ribs, chips, slaw and onion rings, or chicken mignon, crushed kipflers, broccolini and creamy mustard sauce; finish with sticky date pudding.

We had a great time
Getting together with family and friends was particularly enjoyable at the Riverside Tavern. The venue operated a very good COVid safe plan. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food delicious. We look forward to returning again soon.
