Restaurant 1861 at Travellers Rest

Amazing food, great location
Not very well signposted as to how to get in, but persevere and the food is amazing, served by friendly attentive but not intrusive staff, who know the building’s history and are happy to share if you ask them. It’s a beautifully restored historic old building and the atmosphere it creates is wonderful.
Bit the food outshines everything - the food looks as classy as any fine dining establishment and tastes just as good as well. What a gem of a place to find - so glad we stopped here for dinner.
