Incredible food and Service Everytime
I am tempted not to leave a review only because I want it to stay a secret.
I have been here alot in the recent months, and everytime is amazing.
The steak is perfectly cooked and seasoned, the potatoes are beautiful and the broccolini is the perfect side. Red win ju was perfect, not too overpowering, but I would have happily enjoy the steak without sauce.
The creme brulee, perfection! Whipped custard light and fluffy.
P.s. the seating is super comfortable!! The only downside to atmosphere is the unfortunate hallway connecting carpark to ocean street.

Inviting, Warm and Fulfilling in Every Aspect
Somewhere along the line, dining out became loud, overdesigned and desperate for attention.

Then there’s Pickled Pelican.

Tucked quietly into Main Street, Maroochydore, this newly renovated little French-inspired sanctuary delivers something becoming increasingly rare — genuine hospitality and food made with confidence instead of ego.

The kitchen leans heavily into classic French fundamentals without becoming pretentious about it. Proper croquettes with audible crunch, silky mash, crisp golden potato gratin and steaks cooked with precision. Every sauce had depth. Every plate felt deliberate.

One dish in particular — a perfectly seared steak beside beautifully layered gratin potatoes — reminded me why classic dishes became classics in the first place.

Front of house flowed effortlessly. Water appeared before glasses were empty, plates cleared seamlessly, and every course arrived with quiet rhythm and warmth. The sort of service where you feel genuinely looked after without ever feeling interrupted.

There’s intimacy to this place. Warm timber, dark marble, low lighting and an understated elegance that quietly whispers: this is where you bring someone you want to impress.

In a world full of restaurants chasing trends, Pickled Pelican is doing something far more memorable — bringing back old-school dining done properly.
