Best Known For

Oribu Parramatta blends Japanese artistry with modern elegance, famed for its curated omakase platters, seasonal innovations, and it's icoinc olive tree centerpiece.

About Oribu

Embark on a new culinary era at Parramatta's first Japanese fine dining experience at Oribu on Church Street. Nestled on the rooftop of the Heritage Lounge, food artistry meets Japanese perfection at this moody and evocative venue where a magnificent olive tree sits centre stage, twinkling with fairy lights and food is served with flair and theatrics. Stop by the bar for a cocktail and snack of hiramasa kingfish carpaccio or popcorn prawns and creamy spicy sauce, yuzu and macadamia; before dining on an omakase share platter of salmon, tuna, kingfish, scallop, abalone and oysters. Perhaps Wagyu beef sirloin entices with chopped wasabi, sansho salt, spicy miso and sides of charred sweet corn, crispy eggplant, broccolini and steamed rice; or toothfish with cured sweet miso, wakame and ginger.

SENSATIONAL
From the moment you step into Oribu, you’re swept into a world where Japanese elegance meets warm hospitality. The centrepiece olive tree creates an atmosphere that feels both serene and sophisticated, while the orange-and-black accents add a touch of modern vibrance.

Every dish is a masterpiece — beautifully plated, bursting with flavour, and clearly crafted with precision and passion. From the delicate sashimi to the melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu, each bite tells its own story. The balance of traditional Japanese techniques with contemporary flair makes every course feel fresh yet timeless.

Service is impeccable — the team at Oribu anticipate your needs before you even ask, and every interaction feels genuine. You’re not just a guest here; you’re part of the Oribu family.

If you’re searching for a dining experience that delights all the senses and lingers in your memory long after the last bite, Oribu is it. Parramatta has been waiting for a restaurant like this — and it has arrived in style. ????

Oribu is a refined gem in Parramatta’s dining scene. Each dish masterfully balances tradition and innovation, showcasing premium Japanese ingredients with finesse. The omakase experience is intimate, artful, and unforgettable. Service is seamless, and the ambiance—anchored by a striking olive tree—feels both elegant and grounded. A must-visit culinary destination.

Amazing experience!
This week we celebrated at Oribu and everyone including serious foodies were very impressed. The cuisine is just stunning and the service is amazing. As it was a special occasion they surprised me with sparklers at the end and a few shared deserts even though no deserts had been ordered. Thank you so much Oribu for making a very special event even more amazing! People you must try this place it is a hidden gem and must not be missed. Thank you again everyone!!!!

Simply Amazing

Food was excellent but service for that price and having a Good Food Hat was very ordinary.
Staff need to be trained not to take away plate when not finished and you don’t stack plates at table in front of a customer

Oishi is Japanese for delicious !
What a wonderful meal for our anniversary! Every course was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our server Lillian and her lovely daughter looked after us like family, and manager Louis solved an issue with the online booking personally. We love that we are treated with the respect of not taking booking fees for bringing business, or credit card details in advance (we pay cash). Only minor drawback was that the music was too loud for a room of diners clearly there for intimate conversations, not partying.

What a gem! We loved every dish.
Just experienced Oribu for the first time and we were so impressed! I would definitely recommend. The food was absolutely delicious, there wasn’t a dish we didn’t enjoy out of the eight course chefs tasting menu. The cocktails are superior and the staff were attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was relaxed but sophisticated. We will definitely return when we’re in Parramatta next. I could go on about each dish, but I will complement the Toothfish and the Tenderloin! Well done Chef. We’re fans! Ben and Stevie
