Named after the owners' nicknames, head to Noodledoof Brewing Co on Commercial Road in Koroit for all things beer and pub fare. This rustic brewpub and distillery on Great Ocean Road, housed in a former mechanic's workshop, comes alive at the weekend as locals and visitors alike drop in to sample craft beer and spirits, along with gourmet burgers and wings. Perhaps the Australian Pale Ale takes your fancy – dry hopped like a kangaroo with HPA Eclipse – it is well suited to the climate with notes of citrus fruit backed up by a punchy tropical bouquet. Enjoy it with a Doof dog – pork sausage in a milk bun with sauerkraut, mustard and spicy tomato sauce, crispy garlic and pickled onion. For the main, devour crispy battered flathead fillets, chips and housemade tartar sauce.
