About Moo Moo The Wine Bar + Grill Brisbane

Located in the heart of the city in the historical Port Office Building, Moo Moo the Wine Bar + Grill on Edward Street is one of Brisbane’s favourite steak restaurants. Nestled in the Stamford Plaza Brisbane Hotel complex, this sister venue of Moo Moo Gold Coast retains its heritage charm along with showcasing modern elements like a monolithic granite bar top, built-in champagne walls and designer furniture. There are six balconies, private booths and dining rooms as well as a walk-in wine cellar and dry-ageing display cabinets; start your culinary journey with hiramasa kingfish crudo, cultured cream, black garlic, black caviar and radish. It’s all about the steak for the main – slice your knife into dry-aged striploin on the bone, with sides of roasted creamed potatoes and sautéed greens.

Love it, usually most restaurant will forget the request I made via online booking, but they kept in mind, I am impressed.

I had the best steak ever here.


My partner and I went to Moo Moo for the second time, full of anticipation. We arrived 10 mins early and were offered to get a drink from the bar as our table wasn't ready. Half an hour later we had to ask if the table was ready which we were told it was - guess they were waiting for us and we were waiting for them. Once seated the service was amazing, very attentive but not over bearing, the waiter didn't miss a beat. As for the food, we are boys and love our steak, so the signature 1kg aged rump to share was the clear choice! The entrees and main were a knock out, great flavours and presentation. I think the only downside to Moo Moo is the closeness of the tables, being able to overhear what the couple next to you is saying without even trying to! Overall we had a lovely time and a great dining experience, but the credit card did get a workout. We'll be back though.

After eating at Moo Moo Broadbeach regularly, we decided to try the new Brisbane restaurant in December 2010. We had some friends visiting from Hong Kong, and we were all quite impressed with the restaurant itself. The ambience was good, although a little noisy for conversation. The tender steaks, sides of vegetables and starters were lovely and the wine list was expensive although we chose a bottle that suited all of us and it was perfect. The service was really friendly which impressed our Chinese friends! Overall we had a lovely meal in a relaxed atmosphere which was exactly what we were looking for when searching for a new restaurant to visit.
